I'm Janet Sellers, a fine artist and environmental designer. From large outdoor murals and concrete sculptures in America's cities to smaller works in homes, offices, and events, my art is made to last and be enjoyed for generations to come.
I make whole gardens of art and natural environments. My early explorations in studying nature and natural structure are obvious in my work.
In my childhood years, I lived in Laguna Beach, we would go ito the beach most days to play in the sand and water, observe the ocean waves, and climb the rocky cliffs from cove to cove along the Pacific Coast. I learned how to make things in the sand that were sturdy enough to stand up to nature's gravity, water and waves; I was taught how to make artifacts, albeit ephemera, by nature herself. The natural world is still a powerful force in my art.
